Just two days after winning the conference title, the Washington Demon wrestling team is back in action.

Tonight, the Demons travel to Oskaloosa to take on Williamsburg and host school Oskaloosa.

Washington may not wrestle all of their varsity guys though, as this is their final meet before the conference meet on Saturday and when Washington hosts sectionals Saturday, Feb. 8.

Head coach Brent VanWeelden said his team will try and win, but some of his wrestlers still have some nagging injuries that he would like to see healed up.

“We need to make a couple of decisions as to who is going to wrestle for us [tonight], we might sit some guys, right off the top of my head I am not sure who, but we’re going to win the duals, but we have to make sure that our kids are healthy mentally and physically going into the weekend and the conference tournament,” VanWeelden said. “Not that we are going to through the ‘Oskie’ and Williamsburg duals away, because we’re not going to do that, but we need to make sure that the kids are healthy and their nagging injuries heal up a little bit.”

The first match tonight at Oskaloosa will be at 5:30.
