The YMCA is hosting its first community forum this evening regarding the future of the Washington YMCA. Director of the YMCA, Becky Harkema states that this meeting will be a chance for community members to voice their opinions regarding facility and program needs. Also, the architects will present their findings of the current facility. She adds that there are two pressing issues to address – whether to add on to the current facility towards Washington Street or whether to build a new facility at a different location and what to do with the current facility.

Tonight’s meeting will be held at the YMCA at 6 p.m. The meeting was originally scheduled for last week but was postponed due to weather.
