The boil order in Brighton has been lifted, but one remains in effect for the City of Crawfordsville. A water main break in Brighton late last week and a similar incident in Crawfordsville Monday night led both of the cities to issue statements advising that residents boil their water prior to consuming it.

Before the orders can be lifted, two sets of samples will need to be taken 24 hours apart, then sent to a lab to confirm the water is safe.

According to Brighton City Administrator Chris Davies, they’ve started the process, but haven’t received test results yet. KCII will let you know if either boil order is lifted.
