A resolution for a special election for a $1.1 million bond will be considered at tonight’s Washington Community School Board meeting. The bond referendum is being sought for the $7 million new auditorium project. A petition with at least 25% of those voting in the last school board election must be submitted to call the issuance of bonds.
In September, 156 voters took part in the Washington School Board elections, meaning that the bond issue petition must have at least 39 signatures.
