Brighton’s boil order may stay in effect until Wednesday. The water main that broke late Thursday night was repaired by 2pm Friday afternoon. According to state law, two sets of samples need to be taken 24 hours a part and sent to a lab for testing. If the water is deemed safe, the boil order can be lifted. Brighton City Administrator Chris Davies says there was no one available to do the testing on Friday, so the first sample will likely be taken Monday.
