The City of Riverside is preparing to set aside funds and undertake a major fundraising campaign for a $4 Million community center. Riverside City Administrator Rusty Rogerson says this is something that’s been talked about since 1964. He explains that prior to the council selecting it as one of their capitol projects for the coming fiscal year, they had an independent company confirm that it would be viable to have this sort of facility. The community center could go somewhere in the 11 acres the city purchased a few years ago, but Rogerson says some residents would like to see it on main street.
