The Washington Demon boys basketball team takes on school rival Mt. Pleasant tonight.
The Demons boys took a loss in the middle of the week to Keokuk in a make up game and another to West Liberty the day before. Tonight, Washington is looking to get a win to break the two game slide, but they have to face a tough Panther team that beat them 60-48 the last time they played.
Washington comes into the game at 6-11 on the season and scoring 56 points per game. They are hitting about 40 percent of their shots from the field and 27 percent of their shots from downtown. Thomas Bump is the leading scorer with 12 points per game, while Gage Redlinger comes in with 11. Blake Weidman and Mason Quigley are at the third shooter spot with eight points per game.
The Panthers come into this game 8-11, scoring 55 points per game, hitting 43 percent of their shots from the field and 34.5 percent from downtown. The leading scorer for Mt. Pleasant is Trey Magnani with 15 points per game, and a shot that lands 42 percent of the time. Zach Mulford comes in with 11.3 points per game, and Dustin Amos has 9.6 points per game.
