The Washington Demon girls basketball team travels down to Keokuk tonight for a makeup basketball game.

The Demons are 11-7, and coming off a big win against Tipton. Washington is out of the conference race, but can play spoilers for by getting wins. They are scoring 51.4 points per game, and hitting just a third of their shots from the field and 22 percent from downtown. Grace Redlinger is the leading scorer with 13.5 points per game, followed by Dema Giardino with 9.2, but Stephanie Fishback is the player to watch out for as of late, scoring in the double digits in her last three games.

Keokuk is 14-5, and beat Washington the last time they played, by getting up quickly on them and then hanging on for the ride in the last three minutes of the game as Washington mounted a comeback. They are scoring 53.4 points per game, and hitting 39 percent of their shots from the field. Lakyn Boltz in the top scorer with 14 points per game, followed by Trinity Jeffers with 9.2 and Paige Kayvan with 8.1, but as the Demons saw, the bench for the Chiefs can be dangerous.

Tonight’s game is at Keokuk with a 8 P.M. start time.
