The Mid-Prairie basketball teams are in action tonight, as they Golden Hawks travel to Northeast Gooselake.

The girls are coming off a tough played loss to Cascade on Saturday, and are scoring 42.5 points per game, and shooting 39 percent from the field.

Taylor Kurtz is the top scorer with 13.4 points per game, with Alex Rath in second with 7.1. Ali Riggan was the second leading scorer on the team, but a knee injury has her out for the season.

Northeast comes in scoring 55.2 points per game and in second place in the conference. Addie Oberman leads the way with 17.8 points per game, followed by Aleenah Marcucci with 10.6 points per game. Almost the entire team is shooting 40 percent or better from the field.

In the boys game, the Golden Hawks have fallen to 9-9 on the season. They are scoring 56 points per game and shooting 42 percent from the field and 32 percent from three-point range. Nick Stimson leads the way with 10.9 points per game, followed by Dayton Hall with 10.2. Behind them is Christian Johnson with 9.3, and then it falls off, as the usual productive bench of the Golden Hawks has started to fade a bit.

Northeast comes in scoring 57.2 points per game, and shooting 44 percent from the field and 35.6 percent from downtown. Eli Kaczinski is the leading scorer with 11.1 points per game, and then they look to their 2-4 shooter who all score 8.5 or more points per game.
