The Highland basketball teams pulled out the sweep over Wapello last night.

In the girls’ game, the Huskies had to make a comeback in the second half to get the win, after tying 16-16 after one, Highland found themselves down 27-20 at the halftime break.

The Huskies came out and tied it up again after three, and just squeaked out the 41-37 win.

Highland was led by a pair of 15 point nights from Chelsey Lampe and Kelsey Hora.

In the boys’ game, there was not a lot of defense involved in the 74-69 Highland victory.

The Huskies were led by Josh Brase with 24 points, and Chris Ford added 17 points and eight rebounds.

Highland plays again tonight when they host Pekin.
