Tonight the Iowa Lions Gift of Sight program will be presented at an event sponsored by the Washington County Master Gardeners. Marian Mortazazi, Donor Development Coordinator for the Iowa Lions Eye Bank, will give a presentation about the Iowa Lions Gift of Sight program and how it is connected to a specific type of hosta.

These hosta plants were developed in Monticello by Joy Adams who received two cornea transplants. After the transplants, she developed a unique seedling which she named and donated to the Iowa Lions Eye Bank. These hostas will be sold this spring as a fundraiser for the Iowa Eye Bank.

For more information attend tonight’s presentation at 6:30 p.m. at the Washington County Extension Office.
