The IMS girls basketball team hits the playoff trail tonight, when they host Calamus-Wheatland for the first round of regional play.

IMS comes in at 12-9 overall, and scoring 17.9 points per game and shooting 37 percent from the field and 30 percent from three-point range. IMS is a team that can put up some points as well, namely from Olivia Yutzy who is scoring 17.9 points per game and hits 49 percent of her shots from the floor. Riley Schmieder is right there as well, with 10 points per game and a 40 percent shot from downtown, and Kristin Davis comes in with 9.3 points per game and hitting about a third of her shots from anywhere on the court.

Calamus-Wheatland comes in at 4-17, and on a five game losing streak. They are only scoring 34 points per game, and hitting 30 percent of their shots from the floor, and 22.5 percent from three-point range. The Warriors also have just two players that IMS will need to worry about, with McKenna Luepker in front with 9.5 points per game, and Rebecca Vanderheiden with 9.3 points per game.
