The Keota boys basketball team looks to extend their post-season tonight, when they travel to BGM to take on Montezuma.

Keota has only played one playoff game, but won easily 64-45. Tonight they take on a team they have seen and beat a couple of times. The first time was a 74-54 victory, and the second was a 59-54 win late in the season.

Keota comes into the game 22-1 on the season, and scoring 65.8 points per game. The leading scorer for the Eagles is Kolton Greiner with 19.9 points per game and a 46 percent shot from the field. Luke Lyle comes in at second with 19.6 points per game, and a shot that lands from anywhere on the court over 40 percent of the time. Nate Owen provides some backup with 10.5 points per game.

Montezuma comes into the game at 17-5, and scoring 53.5 points per game. They don’t have one player that runs away with the scoring, rather six players who are all bunched together. Nine players scoring over four points per game, six are over five, and the leading scorer in Brody McKeag tops out at 8.5.
