A Columbus City student is one of five in the country to receive a scholarship for their post secondary education. Keep Iowa Beautiful announced recently that Elijah Sents will be receiving one of their $1000 scholarship. Governor Terry Branstad will present the scholarships to Sents and the other winners at the State Capitol on March 13th. Sents will attend Iowa State University in the fall.

Students were selected based on academic achievement and community service.
