The Mid-Prairie basketball teams return to action tonight when they take on Camanche for a game that has been rescheduled a number of times due to weather.

The Lady Golden Hawks are coming in off of their win over Northeast Gooselake last night, and are looking to get another win here tonight going into the tournament. Mid-Prairie is scoring 42.5 points per game, and shooting 39 percent from the field. Taylor Kurtz is the leading scorer with 13.4 points per game, while Alex Rath comes in at 7.1.

Camanche lost to Durant last night in a low scoring game in which they were held to single digits in every quarter. They are scoring 41.5 points per game and making 34 percent of their shots from the field and 31 percent of their shots from three-point range. Kylie Vogel leads the team with 11.3 points per game, and backing her up is Julia Moore with 8.7 and Libby Schnoor with 8.3.

For the boys, this will be a game to break a losing streak. Mid-Prairie is scoring 56 points per game, but tend to give up leads late in the game. They are hitting 42 percent of their shots from the field, and 31 percent from three point range. Nick Stimson and Dayton Hall continue to be the guys to watch for the Golden Hawks with over 10 points per game.

Camanche lost in four overtimes last night, so they will be a little tired coming into tonight’s game. They are scoring 54 points per game and shooting 48 percent from the field and 43 percent from downtown. There is no real leading scorer for Camanche, as seven of their top players are scoring over five points per game, and their top scorer, Dylan Busse, tops out at 7.6.
