A retailer looking to build a new location in Kalona’s Harvest Hill Subdivision has adjusted their site plan. The city council found a few issues with the initial plan they presented earlier this month, and requested that Dollar General make some adjustments.

In the revised plan, the entry off of H Avenue has been moved west away from the Highway 1 intersection and now meets the Department of Transportation and the city’s requirements. They also increased the size of their proposed retention basin to meet the 100 year floodplain standard.

The city is still waiting to hear from the company regarding their plans for signage.
