The WACO girls basketball team won their first round regional game last night over Holy Trinity.

The game stayed pretty close through the first half, as Holy Trinity only trailed by two at half, 19-17. In the second half, Holy Trinity couldn’t make a shot, as they only scored two points in the third quarter. WACO won the game 39-26.

The Warriors were led by Erika Liechty with 17; Aaliyah Brown did play in the game and had five points.

WACO moves on in the tournament to face Burlington Notre Dame.
