WACO High School’s gym will have new bleachers for next school year. The school board recently approved the $73,000 purchase from Seating & Athletic Facility Enterprises. WACO Superintendent Darrel Smith says they have other big projects they hope to complete in the next five years. That includes a new weight room and auditorium. A community member has come forward willing to help fund the weight room. Smith says 85% of the auditorium’s cost could be covered by federal and state grants, while the rest would need to be raised locally.
