The Washington girls basketball team plays the second round of the playoffs tonight against Grinnell.

The Demons are on a five game winning streak, and have beat all of the conference schools in eight days. Tonight they travel to Grinnell to take on the Tigers.

Washington is 15-7 coming into the game, and scoring 50 points per game. Grace Redlinger leads the team with 12.7 points, while Dema Giardino comes in with 8.8, and Stephanie Fishback has 8.5, but those players are not the most important tonight. The Demons need the bench to step up and play as well as they have in the past games to really get Grinnell down.

The Tigers are 17-4 this season, and are scoring 54 points per game and hitting 38 percent of their shots from the field, and 34 percent from downtown. Grinnell is led by Deja Jackson with 19.4 points per game, while Madeline Wilkins has 9.3, and Anneliese Wiltfang comes in at 7.9. After the top three, Grinnell’s offense falls off the map.
