Tomorrow, Columbus Junction will again play host to an event celebrating Welsh heritage and the Patron Saint of Wales. Troy Pugh, whose great grandfather grew up in Wales, says there’s a large group of people in the Columbus Junction and Cotter area with Welsh ancestry. About 150 of them took part in the first parade held last year.
The Saint David’s Day parade begins at 1pm at the viaduct, and will run down Main Street.
Afterwards, a traditional beef stew based on a recipe from northern Wales will be served at the American Legion Hall.
