The WMU girls basketball team won their Southeast Iowa Superconference Shootout game over Central Lee on Saturday.

The Wolves won 48-43, despite the final minute being a little more interesting than wanted. The Wolves led the entire game by about five points, including going into the final minute, but Central Lee pushed back and tried to grab the lead. WMU held on for the win, thanks to 14 points from Shelby Therme, and eight points from Layne Davis.

WMU moves on to the regional tournament where they get a first round bye, and won’t play again until Feb. 18th when they play the winner of Lone Tree and Keota.
