The Iowa Finance Authority Board of Directors has announced that a Washington project will be receiving federal Housing Tax Credits and HOME awards to construct affordable rental housing. The Reserves at Briarwood, a 30-unit project, will receive nearly $390,000 in tax credits and a $999,000 HOME award. The complex will be located at 900 West Monroe in Washington and will be developed by Overland Property Group, LLC.

The HOME program helps fund projects nationwide with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development allocating approximately $2 billion. Washington is one of six projects in the state to receive funding.
