The Washington Demons and IMS girls track teams competed at the Central College indoor track and field meet on Saturday.

For the Demons, their results did not have places, but they did have the times. Macy Marek was the quickest in the 55 meter dash with a time of 7.3 seconds, while Jesse Buchholz ran a 55 hurdle time of 10.5 seconds.

Marek showed off her speed again in the 200 meter dash with a time of 27.5 seconds, while Buchholz ran a 400 time of 70 seconds flat. The Demon’s Stephanie Loy ran a time of 2:45 in the 800, and Maggie Voss ran 6:10 in the 1500 meter run.

Finally the best relay of the night was the Demons 4×200 team that went 1:55. The team was Kelly Wheeler, Dema Giardino, Isabella Giardino and Morgan Kimball.

For IMS, they took two athletes, with Riley Schmieder running the 3000 and finishing 11th with a time of 11:58.1. Grace Belin also went to the meet and ran in the 55 meter hurdles in a time of 12.4 seconds.

Washington will be in action for their first outdoor meet later this week, while IMS will go to Lone Tree on March 31st.
