Students in the Keota School District won’t have school tomorrow. The boys basketball team is advancing to the second round of the 1A tournament following their win against Easton Valley on Monday.

School was cancelled Monday and is tomorrow to accommodate the significant number of students, parents and faculty members attending the game. In a message to those in the school district, Superintendent Mark Schneider explained he decided to cancel school because the day would have been devoid of effective classroom learning. The day that was missed Monday will be made up on Friday, May 30th. The date of tomorrow’s makeup day has not been decided.

Tickets for the game are available for purchase at the High School. There will also be a pep bus for students and community members sponsored by Farmers Savings Bank of Keota that will leave the school tomorrow morning at 8am.
