The Demon girls track team hosted their Demon indoor track meet last night, kicking off the season despite the weather outside.

In addition to Washington: WACO, Highland and Lone Tree were also in attendance.

Junior Macy Marek was one of the standout performances for Washington, qualifying for the 60 meter dash finals, and finishing in fifth place. Sophomore McKayla Miller finished 12th in the shot put, just missing the finals.

WACO’s best performance came from Rosemary Skriver in the high jump, clearing 4’9” and tying for sixth place. Lone Tree got a 15th place finish from Paige Doehrmann in the 400 meter run for their top finish, but the top area team from last night was Highland, who had a 7th place distance medley relay of Brianna Davis, Cheyann Adamson, Jordan Rath and Chelsey Lampe, a first place tie in the high jump from Sam Dutton who cleared 4’11”, and a 12th place finish from Rebecca Davison in the 60 meter hurdles.

There were no team scores at last night’s meet.
