Drought Conditions Lessen in Southeast Iowa

Drought conditions in Southeast Iowa have lessened in the last week. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, only 7% of the state is in a severe drought, down 10% and 47% of Iowa is in a moderate drought, down 7% from last week. Washington County is mostly in a moderate drought, along with Johnson, Louisa, Henry and Jefferson counties. Keokuk and Iowa counties remain in a severe drought.
