Washington County Community Mental Health Center is looking to contract with Hillcrest Family Services to provide mental health services support 24 hours a day, seven days a week in Washington County. A counselor would be available to assist in the emergency room department of the Washington County Hospital and Clinics. Central Point of Coordination administrator Bobbi Wulf explained a counselor would be available to help the hospital and local law enforcement agencies in hopes of providing more support and resources to people in the community. It is estimated to cost the county $5,000 per month, but a contract will be presented to the Washington County Board of Supervisors at a later date.
