Now that one of the nuisance properties has been demolished, the City of Keota is in the process of having another torn down. The house at 506 North Ellis Street was taken down recently and the next in line is the structure at 307 North Ellis. City Clerk Niki Osweiler says the City Council will consider approving the demolition at their meeting on the 17th. If approved, the house can be taken down the next day.

The city has four other nuisance properties they plan to demolish, with each costing $4,000 to $5,000.
