An agreement has been reached between the Highland School District and Kirkwood Community College. At their last meeting, the school board approved a 28-E agreement with Kirkwood that will provide more opportunities for students to take college level classes. Highland Superintendent Chris Armstrong says students will be required to pay the standard rate for classes, but they will be eligible for weighted funding that allows them to be partially reimbursed by the state. He adds with what they offer now, some students graduate with up to 18 hours of college credits.
