The Iowa Department of Natural Resources will begin stocking Lake Darling with fish next week. According to DNR Fisheries Biologist, Chad Dolan, they’ll start the process by putting bluegills in the lake on Wednesday. He says large mouth bass and channel catfish will be introduced in mid-June, the redear sunfish they’ve ordered are expected to arrive in the fall and they’ll stock black crappie next spring. He adds Lake Darling is just a few inches away from being full.
