A group in Riverside presented a donation for the community center to the city council this week. Riverside Area Community Club donated $120,000 towards the project. City Administrator Rusty Rogerson says the city purchased 11 acres next to the elementary school a few years ago for this specific project, but a location has not been decided on. The facility will cost up to $4 million.
The RACC’s donation will be added to other smaller donations and money the city has been setting aside for the past few years.
