Individuals now have until mid-April to sign up for healthcare and avoid a penalty on next year’s income taxes. It was announced this week that the deadline to select a plan through the healthcare exchange would be pushed back, giving people more time to browse their options. Eric Greiner, Enrollment Coordinator with Richland’s River Hills Community Health Center, says this applies to people who have had technical difficulties enrolling through the healthcare website or are already enrolled.  According to Greiner, an exact date for the new deadline has not been announced.
