The Washington Relays were last night, and here are the top results from the area schools.

For Washington, they had two champions, with the 4×200 meter relay team of Carl Sivels, Jacob Hennigan, Gage Redlinger and Alex Coker in a time of 1:36.38, and the shot put of Tommy Peterson, who threw 48’5”.

Washington also had multiple runner-ups and third place finishes, including Michael Ellingson in the high jump with 5’6” jump to finish second. The shuttle hurdle relay was third in a time of 1:02 and a team of Hennigan, Redlinger, Jack Giardino and Alex Gonzalez. Sivels was third in the 100 meter dash in a time of 11.83, Hennigan was third in the 110 meter dash with a time of 15.37, the 4×100 of Sivels, Tanner Knupp, Giardino and Mason Quigley was second with a time of 47.4, and the Washington 4×400 was first in class A with Noah Lebsack, Hennigan, Redlinger and Coker in a time of 3:37.35.

WACO’s top events were the 4×800, that finished third in class C with Jorge Chacon, Jackson Roth, Justyn Chalupa and Isacc Black in a time of 10:19. The Shuttle hurdle was also third with the team of Brett Hesseltien, Cornell Hulme, Bryce Achen and Dylan Carlson in a time of 1:07.77. Carlson came back to be the runner-up in the 110 high hurdles in class C in a time of 16:02. Braden Blake was the runner-up in the 800 with a time of 2:11 and the 4×100 of Tucker Janecek, Achen, Hulme and Carlson was second in a time of 46.72.

The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks had a third place finish from Levi Duwa in the discus, with a throw of 112’10”, and Eessa Baylor finished third in the long jump at 18’9”. The 4×800 team was third for the Golden Hawks with Colin Weber, Ty Feigenspan, Andrew Schwartz and Zeb Schwartz in a time of 9:23. Andrew Schwartz finished third in the 400 meter dash in 57.73, and the 4×200 meter relay team was third in 1:40.73 with a team of Baylor, Isaiah Powell, Evan Wild and Zach Schwartz. Zach Schwartz came back in the 400 meter low hurdles and grabbed second in 1:02. The Golden Hawks also took second in the 1600 medley relay, and first in the 4×100 meter relay in class B.

Keota had a strong finish in the 4×200 meter relay as the runner-up in a time of 1:38.12 and a team of Kolton Greiner, Jason Ree, Nate Siren and Ben Horras.

For Columbus Junction, Rickey Rivers finished second in the long jump at 20’4”, Mark Ramierz won the class C shot put at 42’1.5”, Mauricio Ramirez was second in the 100 meter dash in 11.83, and won the 200 meter dash in 24.45.
