Washington School District’s tax levy has further dropped after receiving income tax numbers, according to Superintendent Dr. Mike Jorgensen. The new rate is $14.05, 59 cents less than last year. On April 1st, a bond vote will be held for a new auditorium. The bond rate for the project would be 40 cents per $1,000 for seven years, so even if the bond passes next month taxes will be lower than the current rate.

The bond levy is for $1.1 million to help fund the $7 million new auditorium project. For more information about the auditorium project click here.
