Several area schools went to the Williamsburg Co-ed track and field meet last night, and here are the top results for each school.

For the Demon boys, Tommy Peterson was third in the shot put with a throw of 49’8”, Carl Sivels finished second in the 100 meter dash in a time of 11.53, they won the 4×200 meter relay with a time of 1:34.78 and a team of Tanner Knupp, Sivels, Gage Redlinger and Alex Coker. Coker was third in the 200 meter dash in a time of 23.37, and they were runner-ups in the 4×100 meter relay with SIvels, Redlinger, Jack Giardino and Coker in a time of 44.20.

For the Demons girls, Addison Gaal was third in the long jump in 14’10.25”, Macy Merak was runner-up in the 100 meter dash in a time of 12.88, the 4×200 meter relay was second in a time of 1:53.40 and a team of Kelly Wheeler, Merak, Grace Redlinger and Stephanie Fishback. The 800 sprint medley relay was second with a time of 1:58.18 and a team of Wheeler, Dema Giardino, Marek and Fishback, and the 4×400 meter relay was third with a team of Morgan Kimball, Redlinger, Gaal and Fishback.

The Mid-Prairie boys and girls were also there, and their top result was a fifth place finish in the 4×100 meter relay with a team of Austin Errthum, Isaiahn Powell, Colin Weber and Canaan Powell in a time of 46.45.

For the Mid-Prairie girls, Abby Tornow was third in the high jump, clearing 4’4”, Lexi Duwa was third in the 100 meter dash in a time of 12.95, and Ali Butters was third in the 100 hurdles in a time of 17.74.

Finally, Iowa Mennoite’s girls were in attendance, and Riley Schmieder was the champion in the 3000 meter run with a time of 11:39.07, and was seventh in the 1500 meter run, setting a new personal best at 5:30.5.

Solon won the girls competition with 135.5 points, Washington was fifth with 58.5, Mid-Prairie was sixth with 36, and IMS was eighth with 10 points.

Solon also won the boys with 145 points, Washington was fifth with 49, and Mid-Prairie was seventh with six points.
