Over 1200 people voted in Washington School District’s bond measure Tuesday. Approximately 18% of the registered voters cast a ballot, with 836 voters in Washington precinct, 115 in Brighton precinct, and 312 absentee ballots. Of those who voted, 866 were in favor and 397 were opposed according to unofficial results from Washington County Auditor Dan Widmer.

Jan Gallagher with the auditorium committee states they will be meeting with the Vision Iowa board next week, regarding a Vision Iowa grant. She adds that there is still some local fundraising with some pending donations.
