April is National Child Abuse Prevention month across the United States and an organization in Iowa is working to help victims of child abuse. Bikers Against Child Abuse has an Iowa chapter that helps empower children that are victims of abuse. Jonathan “Pacman” Taylor explains the group helps children by adopting them into the group with an individual mentor and being available to speak with the child any time of day. Also, the group will attend court hearings with the child if requested to show they are not alone and have a support group.

The members of BACA do undergo a background check and training before being a mentor.
