With 69% of the vote, residents of the Washington School District have passed a bond issue for the first time in decades. According to unofficial results from County Auditor Dan Widmer, 866 voted in favor while 397 people voted no. The $1.1 million bond will help fund the $7 million auditorium project at the high school. The bond will be over seven years at 40-cents per $1,000 and the tax rate will be $14.45.
