Approximately 2169 gallons of paint will be used to paint centerlines on county roads this year. Four bids were received for the project with the lowest from Vogel Traffic Services of Orange City for $14.69 per gallon. County Engineer Jacob Thorius states centerlines are painted every other year and edge lines are painted every five years. Approximately 155 miles will be painted for a total cost estimate of nearly $32,000.
