The Washington Demons boys golf team will try and take on Oskaloosa at Edmondson golf course today.

The course will provide a tricky situation if the meet is played, because of the rain everything will be over saturated with water, creating a challenge for the golfers to not take a lot of turf with each shot.

Head coach mark Berhow said this is the first time the team has really had to deal with this, so they will need to talk it over on their way to ‘Oskie’.

“This one you really need to make sure you hit the ball first, and we’ll talk about that on the way down there, that you just need to make sure you make good ball contact, because if you take any kind of a divot, because if you take any kind of a divot before the ball, you’re going to be chucking the ball, so we need to make sure we stand up just a little more in our stance and try to avoid topping it, but that is going to be the challenge,” Berhow said. “We haven’t play in this this year, permitting we do have the meet, we’ll kind of have to make that call throughout the day again, and we’ll see what happens.”

Tonight’s golf meet is at Oskaloosa’s Edmondson golf course with a 2 P.M. start time.
