The Washington Demon girls golf team held a Triangular last night with Mid-Prairie and Columbus, and came out the victors.

Washington got the meet medalist with Megan Buitendorp’s 42, recovering her game after hitting a seven on the first hole. Other scorers for the Demons were Sarah Waite with a 45, Maddie Hora came in with a 51, Deanne Peiffer had a 54, and Brenna Weidman and Brenna Burlingame both carded 55’s.

Head coach Tracy McArtor said the course was in great shape, and that with his kids playing a course that most had not seen before, he is happy with the results.

“213, I have no complaints with that. Out kids shot a 208 a week ago, and I thought that was a little low for this time of the year for us, but I was happy with it, but we came down here to a Washington course that more than half of the team hasn’t seen before, I’m more than pleased with the 213,” McArtor said.

Columbus’s top scorer was Kortney Ott with a 50, other scorers for the wildcats were Lizzie Ducan with a 57, Sarah Tod with a 61, Emily Duncan with a 63, Marissa Hafner with a 69 and Grace Chapman with a 71.

Washington won the meet with a 192, Mid-Prairie was second with a 213 and Columbus was third with a 231.
