The Washington and Winfield-Mt. Union girls track teams both went to West Burlington Notre Dame last night for a varsity track meet, and here are the top results.

Macy Marek won the 100 meter dash in 13.18, while her teammate Kelly Wheeler was third. Wheeler came back to be the runner-up in the 200 meter dash at 28.92. Jesse Buchholz was the runner-up in the 400 meter dash in 1:09.59, they won the 4×100 meter relay in a time of 52.41 and a team of Merak, Stephanie Fishback, Dema Giardino and Grace Redlinger. Washington also won the 4×200 meter relay in 1:55.11 and a team of Redlinger, Fishback, Makenzi Marek and Macy Marek, the 800 sprint medley in a time of 1:58.38, and a team of Giardino, Makenzi Marek, Macy Marek and Morgan Kimball, the 4×400 meter relay in a time of 4:32.19 and a team of Fishback, Giardino, Addison Gaal and Redlinger, and the shuttle hurdle relay in a time of 1:17.14 and a team of Emma Wood, Jesse Buchholz, Morgan Kimball and Carolan Hoffman.

The Wolves ran in class B, and saw a runner-up effort from Paige Breon in the 100 meter dash in 13.97, and runner-up performance in the 100 meter hurdles from Karlie Wade in 18.46, they were runner-ups in the 800 sprint medley in 2:10.89, and a team of Paige Breon, Hannah Mathews, Karlie Wade and Emily Mathews. Karlie Wade also finished second in the Long Jump with a leap of 15’2.25”. and Lou Krieger-Coen was second in the shot put with a throw of 35’4”, and was second in the discus at 98’4.5”.
