WACO School District recently received the results of an evaluation conducted by the Iowa Department of Education. The site visit involved interviews with staff, students, parents and community members. The group that conducted the review singled out the positive collaboration between students and staff and the willingness of administrators to make changes during the course of the school year when necessary. Superintendent Darrell Smith says one of the areas in need of improvement was the use of available resources, specifically the Area Education Agency and their professional development services. A meeting with AEA has already been scheduled.
