A program started this year by a local non-profit is receiving national support. In August of 2012, Wayland based On His Path began sending donations to Bethel Ministries International, which distributes over 1500 wheelchairs to the poor in Guatemala annually. On His Path volunteer Rick Fulton says in the first 18 months of working with Bethel, they sent them 3 cargo containers full of mobility equipment and other donations collected locally.

Two months ago, Fulton and founder of On His Path, John Mitchell, established Mission:Mobility to enlist people from across the country to help with the effort. Fulton says they now have groups in Florida, Pennsylvania, Kentucky and 10 other states collecting donations for the organization in Guatemala.
