The City of Hills has received the bids for their proposed water system project estimated to cost $5.2 million. According to City Clerk Bonnie Hansen, companies could bid on the entire project or portions of it. Division 1 includes the lines and water treatment plant, while Division 2 is just the water tower. Hansen says bids for Division 2 came in lower than expected, but the lowest bid for Division 1 came in $500,000 higher than the estimate. The city council has held meetings to figure out how to finance the additional cost and will meet Monday to continue that discussion.
