Iowa Mennonite soccer braved the cold temperatures yesterday and got their soccer game in with Wapello.

IMS won the game 4-1, making the cold weather a little better.

Scoring goals for IMS were Jacob Schmieder who had to move positions in the game, but notched his first and second varsity goals of the season. Freshmen Alex Kurtz also got his first goal of the season after a cross from Spencer Schrock, and Kobi Russom netted a put back after a shot bounced off the Wapello Goalie.

This was IMS’s first win of the season, they are now 1-2 overall and 1-1 in the conference. They are back in action next week, when they play Mediapolis at home.
