The Washington County Conservation Board is waiting to hear from the Iowa Public Information Board, or IPIB, if they violated open meetings laws or not. Formal complaints were filed with the IPIB regarding closed sessions held by the conservation board in January and February. At yesterday’s special session meeting, the board approved a revision to the Mediated Settlement Agreement concerning the two complaints filed against the conservation board. The initial agreement was approved at their regular session meeting April 10th.

KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
