Today is Earth Day, which marks the anniversary of the beginning of the modern environmental movement in 1970, according to the Earth Day Network. The Washington Public Library is hosting programming in honor of the day.

Tomorrow, a program for teenagers will be held. LeAnn Kunz, library assistant, states, sixth through 12th graders are invited to Project Recycled Runway where students will make clothes out of pages of old books. The dress made last year is currently on display in the front of the library. Recycled Runway begins at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
