The Mid-Prairie School Board has adopted their budget for the fiscal year beginning in July. The budget has also been sent to the state Department of Management and the Washington County Auditor.

According to Business Manager Cindy Steege, expenditures for fiscal year 2014 sit at $33 million, with $10 million built in for projects funded by the bond issue.

Revenue is projected to be $33.9 million. Steege says around a third of that would be from the bond issue for the middle school geothermal system.$5 million of that is being carried over from the current fiscal year.

Those living in the district will see their tax rate increase slightly in July to $12.40.
