A neighborhood meeting for those impacted by the 12th Avenue project in Washington will be held tonight. The City Council approved preliminary plans for the street construction in March and discussed the recommended 5-foot wide sidewalks at last week’s council meeting upon hearing complaints from citizens. Engineer Leland Belding explained that with the Americans with Disability Act it is recommended to have a 5-foot wide sidewalk.
The project is expected to help drainage issues in the area.
Tonight’s meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at the Washington High School.
